  17. SARez and SADeRez were not done jointly by Symantec and Apple.  They were
  18. created by the Apple Development Systems Group, using components from MPW's Rez
  19. and Commando, plus a standard in/out window from the upcoming MPW 3.2 release.
  20. Our group created these tools and have licensed them to Symantec because we
  21. want to help the MacApp cause by allowing other environments to support it.  We
  22. recognize that no development environment provides the solution to everyone's
  23. problems, so we are doing our part in helping MacApp achieve a broader base of
  24. development suppport.  (Incidentally, we would be happy to license the SARez
  25. and SADeRez tools to others interested in supporting MacApp in yet other
  26. development environments.)

  28. With regards to the capabilities of these tools to remember previous settings
  29. by saving this state information in files/documents, besides opening such a
  30. file and executing it, you can also simply double-click on one of these
  31. documents and it will be run without further user interaction required.  Making
  32. these tools easy to run repeatedly was the most challenging part of their
  33. implementation.
